This trojan infects your Windows Mobile handset when you download and install an infected application, or use a memory card that is already infected with the trojan. By allowing unsigned applications to be installed, the malicious program disables the Windows Mobile’s installation security. And thus the smartphone is left prone to future infections. What’s more, the InfoJack Trojan sends sensitive information back to the malware’s author, and thus it jacks your info, hence the nomenclature. The Trojan also copies itself back into memory and the memory card and thus a backup copy is available somewhere else even if the trojan is deleted. This malware has spread through Chinese downloads of Google Maps, applications for stock trading, and games. Though Chinese authorities have shut down the website that originated the InfoJack Trojan, that does’s indicate that Windows Mobile users are safe. It’s high time all Windows Mobile users get themselves an anti-virus program.Source: Register
