3 has launched its second Skypephone, the S2 (pictured), with a new user interface to enable easy movement between internet applications. It can also be used as a mobile broadband dongle. The user interface includes a ‘switcher’ key to flip between applications in a ‘carousel’ style. 3 claims this takes out the need for fiddly menus and makes the internet easier to use. The handset includes applications to help run internet services such as Facebook, Google and Windows Live Messenger from the front of the phone, as well as the ability to use the device as a mobile broadband dongle.
