This Friday, over £37 worth of top stories for free straight to your mobile from Vodafone UK

Vodafone UK eBooks

Vodafone UK is giving customers the opportunity to download up to 5 free eBooks to their mobile phone on Friday March 12. This is the latest in a series of Free Fridays from the UK’s best network that has previously seen customers receive free mobile Internet and free music on the last day of the week.

Among the books customers can download is “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo”, the first of Stieg Larsson’s Millennium Trilogy which has been a global success and is tipped to be one of the biggest films of 2010. Also on the list is “Twenties Girl” by Queen of chick lit Sophie Kinsella, James Patterson’s “The Murder of King Tut”, “The Bleeding City” by Alex Preston and Lewis Carroll’s perennial favourite “Alice in Wonderland”.

In addition, customers downloading “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” e-book on 12 March will be automatically entered into a draw to win an exclusive private screening of the film adaptation, which also launches on 12th March. The prize includes tickets for the winner and up to 50 of their friends, as long as they’re over 18, to see the film at a UK cinema of their choice.

If a customer downloads all five eBooks to their mobile they would save £37.96 against the normal price on the Vodafone eBooks service. Books normally start from as little as £1 and there are hundreds to choose from – from the latest blockbusters, through business titles, to the old classics. Currently there are 28 mobiles that are compatible, with the e-book service, including Nokia 5800, BlackBerry Storm and Vodafone 360 Samsung H1 and M1, with more planned.
