Verizon Confirms BlackBerry Storm2, will be available from Wednesday, October 28
Verizon Wireless announces the availability of BlackBerry Storm2, starting Wednesday, October 28. The BlackBerry Storm 2 is now expected to launch at $539.99 Retail/Month-to-Month, $349.99 on a 1 year agreement or $279.99 on a 2 year agreement, both before an additional $100 mail-in rebate, bringing the totals to $249.99 and $179.99 respectively. It will also have pre-installed 16 GB microSD card in the device as part of the retail package. Also this carrier will be rolling out a new ahead of the Storm 2 launch starting Sunday night at 6PM EST, which will add highly requested features such as “a faster, more accurate and natural text input experience, word completion, a virtual QWERTY keyboard in portrait view and enhanced sensitivity when editing, copying and pasting.” The update will also add the ability to “enable Auto Correction as opposed to Word Completion in landscape view.” presumably to speed up typing in landscape mode. The complete changelog will also be available tomorrow night shortly after the update release. The update will not be delivered over the air as with past updates, instead being delivered via RIM’s Desktop Manager application for Windows and recently launched for Mac OS X.
