Research In Motion, manufacturers of the BlackBerry, did not have much to show off at CTIA 2008. However they are hard at work to solidify their standing in the American mobile market. Here is a summary of all BlackBerry news:

·        Verizon were first out of the blocks and came out with the GPS-enabled BlackBerry Curve 8330. Look here and here for more info if you are interested.

·        Sprint followed in Verizon’s footsteps and unveiled the same device. The BlackBerry on Sprint will support such services as Sprint Navigation, Sprint Music Store and Sprint TV. Sprint will begin to sell the Curve 8330 from April for $179.99 with a 2 year service agreement, a $170 instant savings credit and $100 mail-in-rebate. Look here for the press release.

·        T-Mobile came out with the WiFi-enabled BlackBerry Pearl 8120. The device will work with T-Mobile’s HotSpot@Home service. T-Mobile will be offering the phone to customers from April 14 at an unrevealed price. Look here for the press release.

·    According to Boy Genius, AT&T will offer the BlackBerry Pearl 8110, which packs built-in GPS, in a month or two.

·        Lastly, RIM have announced that their Facebook for BlackBerry app has been downloaded over a million times. Look here for the release.
