Sony Ericsson U5i clears FCC on its way to getting a real name

An unknown Sony Ericsson device has been spotted while passing the FCC hurdle. It’s marked as the U5i and honestly we’ve no clue what’s it all about. If it means something, Aino was known as the U10, while Satio was marked as the U1.

According to Cellpassion, which dug up U5i’s user agent profile, we’re talking about a low-to-mid range device with nHD (640×360 pixels) touchscreen, 2-megapixel camera and Symbian. On the other hand, we’ve seen the U5 Kurara leaked all in its 8-megapixel camera glory.

So what’s the U5i? We have no idea, but I’m hoping we’ll have more details during the CES or MWC. Stay tuned…
