iScreen Corporation has engaged in the research and development of eBooks for over two years, making them one of the pioneers in the industry. In 2008, iScreen was the first service provider to launch comics for smartphones and handsets in Taiwan with Taiwan Mobile. In 2009, iScreen took a further step further by adding popular fiction to its catalog.
The eBook application from iScreen is available for the BlackBerry Bold 9000 and BlackBerry Storm smartphones. BlackBerry subscribers from Taiwan Mobile will be able to download the app from Taiwan Mobile’s catch portal (www.catch.net.tw) on January 18. The eBook application is free of charge and each book or comic will cost NT10 to NT50*.
