FCC conformed Samsung’s Android phone i7500 for T-Mobile USA
FCC web site confirmed Samsung’s first official Android smartphone, the i7500, to work on the T-Mobile’s 1700MHz 3G networks. T-Mobile USA will probably launch the i7500 sometime in the fall of 2009. This information was included in the original press materials, but the FCC approval makes it more formal.
The i7500 will have a 3.2 inch AMOLED HVGA (480 x 320) touchscreen display, 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash, Wi-Fi, GPS, a 3.5mm headset jack and 8GB of built-in memory. It also has a microSD memory card slot for additional storage (up to 32GB). Neither Samsung nor T-Mobile have revealed when the phone will come to market.
