Is the RIM BlackBerry 8110 Pearl headed for Rogers Wireless with GPS?

In the near future, BlackBerry-fans from Canada may just have good reason to celebrate. It is rumored that the GPS-toting RIM BlackBerry Pearl 8110 could be hitting Rogers Wireless’s network in the near-term. The BlackBerry 8110 Pearl features an integrated GPS receiver, being the GSM counterpart to the CDMA-based BlackBerry 8130 Pearl.

The new updated GSM BlackBerry Pearl ought to feature the microSD card slot, revised keypad, 3.5 mm headphone jack, and the integrated GPS receiver that one duly expects from newer BlackBerry Pearls.

It seems the Rogers BlackBerry 8110 Pearl will appear in Dark Blue; and also note that the $249.99 price-tag is dependent upon a data plan and a 3-year contract, so consider all options before emptying your pockets.
