NTT DOCOMO Launches Movie Creation Service Based On Ubitus Cloud Computing PlatformNTT DOCOMO, INC. announces to launch a new service for movie creation, “KEITAIDE DOUGAWO TSUKUROU” (hereinafter referred to as “Service”), which allows its users to compose and edit their own media content with the ability to create themes, tell stories and lastly share with their friends by ubitus cloud computing platform. 

Recently, the mobile internet has had great influence on how videos are created and managed. Videos documenting many facets of life have become an integral part of our lives today. Furthermore, videos can serve as a lifestyle for people as entertainment as well as a source of social information. NTT DOCOMO expects to boost data traffic from 42 percent of total revenue today to more than 50 percent by 2011, while media-related application, especially personalized video clips, will be a highlight Service in the following months.

Ubitus media effects solution is an on-the-fly media cloud processing and delivery platform which automatically produces beautifully orchestrated and unique videos using captured photos, video clips and music. With ubitus platform, current users can access the Service portal, upload the photos or video from his and her handset, decide on a theme (e.g. Christmas, Birthday…), add video effects and subtitles of these pieces, and send a message to share with friends. Today, this Service supports popular effects such as comic effect, transition effect, and purikura effects.

Through the Service, which helps to create unique and personalized videos, users can easily send captured instant moments to a loved one, create event invitations, and share stories anytime.
