Nokia is to release the first GPS phone Nokia 6210 Navigator in MidSummer
Nokia 6210 Navigator, announced back in February, during MWC 2008, is set to be released somewhere in the middle of this summer. Times Online posted a video presentation with the device, which also unveils the fact that the new Navigator will indeed hit the market in July the latest. Nokia 6210 Navigator is the first GPS-enabled mobile phone that comes with an integrated electronic compass that will allow users to travel in and around cities easier than ever. Combined with Nokia Maps 2.0 and the built-in accelerometer, the compass always shows the right direction, regardless of the way you hold the device. Besides the navigation features, the new 6210 also has other high-end specs:
- a 2.4 inch display with 240 x 320 pixels and 16 million colors
- Quad-band GSM, dual-band UMTS and dual-band HSDPA connectivity
- Geotagging, Media player, FM radio
- Bluetooth 2.0, a 3.2 Megapixel camera with auto focus, flash and video
- USB 2.0
- An internal memory of 120MB and microSD card slot for up to 8GB.
- Weighs 117 grams
- Measures, when closed, 103 x 49 x 14.9 millimeters
As far as the price goes, you are looking to spend 300 Euros ($465), including a free GPS navigation license for 6 months. Also a heads up that Europe will most probably be the first region to get the phone and then US market.
