Nokia unveiled that it has got Konami, the famous Japanese game publisher, on the NGage platform bandwagon. The first game to land on select NGage compatible Nserries phones is the award-winning Metal Gear Solid Mobile.
MGS fanatics like myself ought to expect “original content that can only be found on the mobile platform.” Accompanying that is the stunning 3D graphics that projects “the atmosphere of the METAL GEAR SOLID series” and “pushes the capabilities of the mobile platform.” Well the PR people have got me sold…
The game was created in conjunction with Ideaworks3D and made use of its Airplay 3.5 SDK. No details were given about the release date though. However, according to Nokia’s Gregg Sauter, “METAL GEAR SOLID on N-Gage will raise the bar with respect to graphical detail and made-for-mobile features. We look forward to the launch of this great franchise on N-Gage.”
