Motorola ROKR E8 will be presented to Oscar nominees at the onset
The Motorola ROKR E8’s haptic-feedback, touch-sensitive keypad and “Omega Wheel” will be gracing the touch of Academy Award nominees. Mere mortals like us will have to wait longer to get our hands on the device. Potential Oscar winners will be presented the unreleased Motorola ROKR E8s in custom Red (female) or Blue (male) faux-iguana skin boxes adorned with the nominees’ name and Oscar category on the night of the awards. The nominees will also be getting a pair of Motorola S9 HD Bluetooth headphones to boot. However, Motorola has not confirmed when the Motorola ROKR E8 will be shipping. Keep in mind though that Motorola launched the RIZR Z3 shortly after its spell as an Oscar gift, so the Motorola ROKR E8 might hit the streets very soon indeed. Who knows, maybe an announcement will be made at the Mobile World Congress 2008.
