This announcement is a combination of the first successful integration of hydrogen fuel into a standard product, a cell phone. Canadian firm, Angstrom Power has successfully completed a test which replaced the battery of a Motorola MOTOSLVR handset with a hydrogen fuel cell. The fuel cell was added on to the device as a permanent replacement, without making the device any larger than normal. The hydrogen batteries tested take on 10 minutes to recharge, which is a vast improvement over your typical device. The batteries are only a prototype for now, but Angstrom plans on having a full scale production set up by 2010. Also this breakthrough will allow us to use our cell phones while flying.
