(LG) has extended its relationship with Nuance to ship its T9 and XT9 predictive text input products across LG’s innovative and growing portfolio of mobile phones. T9 and XT9 are the industry’s most trusted predictive text software, supporting a variety of applications to make it faster and easier for LG consumers to send text messages and emails, as well as quickly type URLs via any keypad format, including standard and touchscreen 12-key and QWERTY keypads. LG will also be taking greater advantage of Nuance’s extensive language support, currently over 80 languages and dialects worldwide including Chinese PTI (Phrasal Text Input) and SBI (Sentence Based Input), and Indic languages such as Hinglish, enabling LG to expand its predictive text offering into the rapidly growing mobile markets of China and India.
