QStarz announced the new Bluetooth GPS receiver, BT-Q818 eXtreme recently. The company claims that it is the most powerful one on the planet. The device boasts a rather impressive array of features which includes 51-Channel performance tracking for fast acquisition and reacquisition, fast position fix (cold start 39s, warm start 36s, hot start 1s), WAAS+EGNOS support, low power consumption that facilitates up to 32 hours of operation and an auto on/off function. According to Navigadget, what sets the device apart is the adjustable update rate which can be somewhere between 1 and 5Hz, making the device ideal for applications where timing is of the essence.
The QStarz BT-Q818 has been well received by critics and has won several awards from a number of industry publications.
