
A new service by the name of Bluewin TV mobile will be added to Swisscom’s mobile TV menu. The new service will be available on the new DVB-H network which is being rolled out. The quality is said to be as good as home televisions and users will be able to choose from 20 channels.
Swisscom already has some experience with mobile multimedia applications with their “100 second news broadcast”, Napster Mobile and the Vodafone live! Portal.
44% of the Swiss population is isad to be now under DVB-H coverage and users in Zurich, Geneva, Lausanne, Basel and Berne will be able to get UEFA Euro 2008 coverage!
Bluewin TV mobile will be available from May 13 and will be available on Nokia N77 handsets.
