Vivendi Games Mobile has released SWAT Elite Troops, the successor to SWAT Force. The new game makes use of an “Instant Tactical Decision” system. We can’t tell you much about it aside from the obvious assumption that it allows you to make instantaneous tactical decisions. SWAT Elite Troops allows you to marshal a team of three elite troops who neutralize dangerous individuals, rescue hostages and defuse explosives.
One thing that struck out to us about the game was that it seemed as though the developers had taken the time to perfect the game for mobile phone controls – a matter that is often not given enough attention. Mobile handsets are not console controllers and they definitely do not have the same responsiveness or ergonomics. Our plaudits go to the developers on that count.
