ST-Ericsson Broadens Partnership with Hojy to Deliver High-Speed Mobile Broadband to the Chinese computing market
ST-Ericsson, a world leader in wireless platforms and semiconductors, today announced the extension of its cooperation with Hojy Wireless, a leading provider of EDGE and TD-SCDMA data solutions, to bring high-speed mobility to the Chinese computing market.Hojy has chosen the industry‘s first 65-nm TD-HSPA modem from ST-Ericsson’s Chinese subsidiary T3G, the M6718, to develop the next generation of high-speed mobile broadband modules to power data cards, USB dongles, notebooks and smartphones in China. ST-Ericsson has a long standing cooperation with Hojy. Among the enabled end products are the DELL Inspiron Mini 10 netbook and the T920 USB data card from Alcatel Shanghai Bell, which were both launched earlier this year.
