Samsung have once again proved that they know how to make a good looking slider device by unveiling the Samsung M470. The M470 is not just a good looker though. It comes with plenty under the hood.

This newest Windows Mobile device is to make use of the high speed upload speeds set by the HSPA data standard.  The M470 packs in a sliding numeric keypad, push email, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0, a 2.0 megapixel camera and plus it can tango with HSUPA data rates. Making use of HSUPA the M470 can upload data five times faster than the WCDMA standard can achieve on its own.

The Samsung SCH_M470 will set you back around 600,000 to 700,000 won, around $600 to $700.

The sad thing is that the high-speed device is unlikely to be seen outside of South Korea. A pity really, but we hope that this phone will inspire a whole new range of WinMo smartphones which make use of true HSPA (HSUPA and HSDPA) data connections.
