Entertain Connected video recorder and other new functions available to all customersDeutsche Telekom is making numerous new functions available to all customers of the Entertain TV service. Thanks to the “connected video recorder,” Entertain customers can now link up several media receivers, manage serial recordings even more easily and share photos with friends and relatives via Entertain. This and other functions have been implemented as part of a software update and are available to all customers free of charge.

With the “connected video recorder,” Entertain customers can now link up the media receiver required for receiving Entertain with a second device, such as the Media Receiver 100, within the same household. In this way, Entertain users have the option of accessing and retrieving existing recordings on the hard-disk recorder via the second box. The second box also allows users to program recordings hassle-free on the hard-disk recorder.

With the new sharing function for photos, Entertain customers can share the photos they have stored in the Media Center with others. Friends and relatives can also access selected photos via Entertain, PC or cell phone once they have been authorized.

The serial recording function has been expanded to make it more user-friendly: Entertain customers can decide for themselves how many episodes of a serial recording they wish to store on the hard disk, and for how long. In addition, the program manager is shortly due to be updated with a TV reminder list. This will allow users to note selected programs from the TV listings and online video store.
