Antenova Launches Internal FM Antenna Module for Mobile Device Applications

Antenova Ltd, the integrated antenna and RF Solutions Company, announced the launch of its new space saving internal FM Antenna Module for mobile device applications. Antenova’s innovative flexible printed circuit (FPC) antenna module design enables effective wireless FM radio reception in mobile handsets without the need for an external headset antenna.

Antenova’s M10332 internal FM antenna module is an active antenna module consisting of Antenova’s patent pending FM antenna with a matching circuit and Low Noise Amplifier (LNA) in a small 33 x 5mm laminate base FPC package. The M10332 is capable of receiving FM frequencies from 88-108 MHz and can be mounted either planar to the host printed circuit board (PCB) or edge mounted for minimum PCB space requirement. A minimum clearance of 2mm between the antenna and the host PCB ground plane is recommended for the best FM signal reception. The module can be easily interfaced to any FM receiver as the LNA output is matched to 50 ohms, but custom impedance can also be provided.
