RIM are gearing up to release the all-touchscreen BlackBerry Thunder later in 2008. The Wall Street Journal says as such, so we believe the story has quite a bit of credibility to it.
Apparently, Verizon will get the exclusive launch rights for America, with the rest of the world able to get their hands on the device through one of Vodafone’s many subsidiaries. The phone is set to be released in the third quarter of this year - possibly around September by our reckoning. The XPERIA ought to be released by Sony Ericsson around that time, while the 3G iPhone may be announced. It is going to be one heck of an interesting time buying a cellphone come this fall…
