RIM is to debut BlackBerry 9000 next week
We really dont know how true the new is but assuming the news is true, RIM will finally unveil the BlackBerry 9000 next week, BGR claims. The Canadian phone maker is reportedly “confirmed” to be launching its first GSM-based 3G BlackBerry at the Wireless Enterprise Symposium and may do so at a press gathering on May 12th, a day ahead of the full event. The device Blackberry 9000 will be introduced by the company co-founder Mike Lazaridis personally. The 9000 is known to be the first BlackBerry with a higher-resolution, 480×320 screen and will also play home to the new BlackBerry OS 4.6 interface. Rim trying to catch iphone market :
The business-friendly BlackBerry is more than a personal Iphone gadget. Everybody knows that e-mail is the main reason people buy BlackBerries, and you don’t need a 3G phone for that, but you do need 3G for quicker downloads and better Internet functionality — stuff that RIM never really concerned itself with until now. The new 3G phone will be called the BlackBerry Bold 9000 and will run on the new 3G network that all the major carriers have been rolling out, including T-Mobile, which recently joined the party.
