AT&T is helping 1-800-FLOWERS.COM INC. (FLWS), the world’s leading florist and gift shop, streamline the online customer experience with AT&T Hosting and Application Services. Under a two-year renewed contract, 1-800-FLOWERS.COM will expand its use of AT&T’s hosting and voice services to facilitate efficiencies across its online business, customer service operations and retail locations nationwide.

AT&T’s hosting services facilitate consistent access and improved performance of 1-800-FLOWERS.COM’s critical business applications to help streamline online ordering, processing and product distribution. AT&T hosts the applications in Internet Data Centers (IDCs) to help protect against intrusion and support ongoing security. By using AT&T’s IDCs, 1-800-FLOWERS.COM has the benefit of an optimal hosting environment for all Web, data and e-business applications along with the ability to independently control and manage applications.

As 1-800-FLOWERS.COM expands its customer service operations, AT&T will begin hosting 1-800-FLOWERS.COM’s call center equipment for its newly-deployed home agent call center initiative, which will allow representatives to service customers remotely. AT&T will also continue to provide advanced toll-free calling services for 1-800-FLOWERS.COM, helping to ensure high-quality customer service, order processing and communications among retail and remote call center locations.

“Due to the seasonal nature of our business, it is critical that we are able to provide consistent, top-quality customer service and efficient order processing on a daily basis and also during our busiest seasons,” said Steve Bozzo, CIO for 1-800-FLOWERS.COM. “AT&T’s solution further enables us to quickly process orders and helps ensure an optimal customer shopping experience online and in our retail stores.”
