Luigi Licciardi, CEO of Telecom Italia Movil (TIM), told Electronics Weekly “we will be selling an iPhone with 3G capability next month.” This pretty much ensures that Steve Jobs will be unveiling a next-gen iPhone on the 9th of June. This also seems to coincide smoothly with AT&T’s move to restrict employee vacations from June 15 to July 12 - leaving the field wide open for the 3G iPhone to launch around the time of the launch anniversary of the current iPhone.
