Nuance Communications today announced the availability of its Dragon Search App on the App Store. The intuitive voice-enabled search app for iPhone gives users a smarter way to search. Dragon Search is an advanced form of Nuance’s world-renowned Dragon NaturallySpeaking software, optimized to service millions of speakers’ simultaneous open-ended search queries, regardless of whether they are first-time or experienced voice application users. The app is currently free for a limited time.

Simply speak a search query and in seconds the Dragon Search Carousel™ displays results from a variety of sources like Google, Yahoo!, Bing, iTunes, Twitter, Wiki, or YouTube. For example, say “Coldplay” and the Search Carousel will direct users to buy Coldplay songs from the iTunes Store, check out Tweets about Coldplay, watch a Coldplay video on YouTube, check the band’s history on Wikipedia, or even find Coldplay tickets on Google.

“The iPhone has revolutionized the mobile experience forever by making the Internet instantly accessible,” said Michael Thompson, senior vice president and general manager, Nuance Mobile. “The Dragon Search App not only makes search faster, but it cuts through the search engine clutter to immediately deliver the content users want, when they want it.”

The Dragon Search App is available for free for a limited time from the App Store on iPhone or at http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/dragon-search/id341452950?mt=8.  To learn more please visit www.dragonmobileapps.com. Dragon Search arrives on the heels of the successful Dragon Dictation App that is also powered by Dragon NaturallySpeaking to speak text messages, emails and more.
