In the third quarter of 2008, the global smartphone market reached its weakest year-on-year growth since Gartner began tracking the industry. Worldwide smartphone sales to end-users totalled 36.5 million units in the third quarter of 2008, an 11.5 per cent increase from the same period in 2007. The top thress companies amoung worldwide results in the third quarter of 2008 arethe following:
- Nokia 42.4% market share, but for the first time it recorded a decline in sales of 3%
- Research In Motion with a 15.9% market share with an increased sales of 81.7%
- Apple regained its No. 3 position in the global smartphone market gaining 12.9%
Seems like it’s a very god time to buy some apple stock and lock them up for a long long time.
