Bose SoundDock gets an iPhone-friendly update

Bose has got down with the iPhone, introducing the SoundDock Series II for playback from the handset or the traditional iPod. Which will probably leave you less-than-happy should you own a Series I, because aside from the added iPhone docking, there’s not a lot new here. Ok, there are a few new features, including a more streamlined look (without affecting that trademark Bose audio quality), connectivity for non-Apple players (round the back) and a new remote with playlist navigation and volume control. But really, this is more or less the same gloss black audio system with a different adaptor. And it could be yours for $299 in the US from September. No UK launch date or price as yet.
